Mango Tart Recipe
A truly
famous Jamaican recipe made with mangoes and cocounts

INGREDIENTS |
|
1¼ cups flour |
|
1 cup sour cream |
|
1 tbsp. sugar |
|
½ cup butter |
|
½ cup shredded Jamaican coconut |
|
½ tsp. almond extract |
|
¼ cup sugar |
|
2 Jamaican mangos, peeled and sliced |
|
2 tbsp. milk |

PREPARATION |
|
1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flour, milk and almond extract. |
|
Beat at low speed until well blended. |
|
2. Press dough onto bottom and sides of 10" tart
pan with removable bottom. Prick bottom |
|
with fork and bake at 400' for 13-20
minutes until light golden brown. Cool completely. |
|
3. Stir together the sour cream and sugar. Spread
over crust. |
|
Sprinkle with Jamaican coconut. Arrange
Jamaican mangos on tart. |
