Jamaican Mango Syrup and Plantain Recipe |

This is a popular Jamaican plantain recipe that uses Jamaican mango syrup. |

INGREDIENTS |
|
3 ripe Jamaican plantains (black) |
|
1 cup Jamaican mango juice |
|
½ cup brown sugar |
|
1 Jamaican cinnamon |

PREPARATION |
|
1. Peel and cut the Jamaican plantains into small rounds. |
|
2. Place in a small saucepan and add the Jamaican mango juice, brown sugar
and Jamaican cinnamon stick. |
|
3. Bring to a boil then lower the temperature and let simmer for about 2
hours, stirring every ½ hour. |
|
Serve this plantain recipe as a side dish or as a Jamaican dessert recipe
with Jamaican mango ice cream. |
