Jamaican Sweet Potatoes with Jamaican Apple Slices |

Jamaican sweet potatoes are cooked and sliced then layered with Jamaican
apples and baked with Jamaican cinnamon and other ingredients. |

INGREDIENTS: |
|
2 large Jamaican apples, tart, unpeeled |
|
2 tablespoons butter |
|
2 large Jamaican sweet potatoes, boiled and cooled |
|
2 tablespoons hot water |
|
butter and Jamaican cinnamon |

|
PREPARATION: |
|
Core Jamaican apples, slice crosswise. |
|
Heat butter in a heavy skillet; fry Jamaican apple slices until just tender,
being careful not to break. |
|
Cut Jamaican sweet potatoes in thick slices; sprinkle lightly with salt. |
|
Arrange Jamaican sweet potato slices in a buttered shallow baking dish; top
with Jamaican apple slices. |
|
Dot with butter and sprinkle with Jamaican cinnamon. |
|
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. |
